Little Star Farm is the retirement dream for Janice and Bob Young. While Janice is still working, Bob is pursuing new adventures and being creative in the woodworking shop. Click the MORE button to connect to his online store.
Janice developed an interest in growing grapes and making wine in the early 2000s. After purchasing Little Star Farm, she planted a few rows of hybrid wine grapes cultivated to grow in the colder temperatures of the Front Range of Colorado. The vineyard is now producing three varieties of grapes. These are Frontenac, La Crescent, and Petite Pearl.
Little Star Farm had several residents when Bob and Janice moved in. These kitties lived in the loafing shed, the neighbors trailer and the other neighbors hay bales and sheds. Being a cat lover, Janice started caring for these cats. With the help of Longmont Friends of Ferals and Abandoned Cat, the cats were trapped, spayed or neutered, and released back on the Farm. Poppy was the patriarch of the colony for many years until he was injured in the fall of 2021 and had to be euthanized.
